Set up MIDI output and sync the cue library

Expose Setz Bridge MIDI to your DAW, assign unique triggers, sync songs, and teach mappings.

Enable the virtual MIDI input

  1. 1In Setz Live Bridge, open Settings / Outputs and enable MIDI.
  2. 2In Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage, or another MIDI-capable app, open MIDI settings and enable Setz Bridge MIDI as an input.
  3. 3In Ableton Live, open Link, Tempo & MIDI and turn on Remote for Setz Bridge MIDI.
  4. 4Use Send Test MIDI Note in Bridge to confirm that the receiving app sees input.

Assign and sync cues from Setz

  1. 1In Setz, open Settings > Setz Live > MIDI Trigger Manager and choose the band.
  2. 2Review Ready and Missing counts, then choose Auto-Assign Missing MIDI Triggers if needed.
  3. 3Choose Send Songs to Bridge. The library includes songs, song segues, the Intro cue, and other configured cues for that band.
  4. 4In Bridge, open Songs and filter by All, Ready, or Needs MIDI to verify the cache.

Teach your DAW

  1. 1Put the receiving app into MIDI mapping or learn mode.
  2. 2Click the scene, clip, transport control, or action you want to map.
  3. 3In Bridge Songs, click Send beside Intro MIDI, Song MIDI, or Segue MIDI for the matching cue.
  4. 4Exit mapping mode and test the cue from Setz.
Note:Clear Cached Songs removes only Bridge's local cue cache. It does not delete songs from Setz. Send Songs to Bridge again to rebuild it.
