Import or update songs with a CSV

Prepare the file

From Songs, choose Download Sample CSV to get the safest starting format. Keep Song Name in every row; all other columns are optional.

Import into the correct band

1. 1Open Songs and choose the destination band filter.
2. 2Open the actions menu and choose Import CSV.
3. 3Pick the CSV file from Files and review the import result.

How matching and updates work

• Setz matches an existing song by trimmed title without regard to capitalization. A match updates that song; otherwise a new song is created.
• Repeated rows for the same title collapse to one song, with the last supplied value winning.
• If an optional column is not present, the existing value is preserved. If the column is present but a cell is blank, that field is cleared.
• Length, BPM, and memory location must be valid values. An invalid row stops a successful import.
• New songs receive unique Live MIDI triggers automatically. The import cannot complete if the band has no unique notes left to assign.
