Setz cannot connect
- 1Confirm Setz Live Bridge is open on the Mac and note the Bridge URL on its Status or Settings screen.
- 2Confirm the Mac and mobile device are on the same local Wi-Fi. The show can work without internet, but the devices still need the same local network.
- 3If the Mac's address changed or the pairing was removed, enable pairing and pair again.
- 4When Setz runs on the same Apple silicon Mac, try http://127.0.0.1:5055 or http://localhost:5055 in manual settings.
- 5Review the connection/health result and Advanced Details log in Bridge.
Connected but commands do nothing
- 1Confirm Bridge is Armed. Disarmed Bridge intentionally blocks remote triggers.
- 2In Outputs, confirm Pro Tools, MIDI, or both are enabled.
- 3For Pro Tools, open the session, check health, list memory locations, and test Cue.
- 4For MIDI, confirm Setz Bridge MIDI is enabled in the receiving app and send a test note.
- 5In Setz MIDI Trigger Manager, auto-assign any missing triggers and send the library to Bridge again.
Prepare the show network
- Use a dedicated, known local network when possible; venue guest networks may isolate devices from each other.
- Keep the Mac awake and Bridge open throughout the set.
- Pair, sync, map, and rehearse before doors. Disable pairing when setup is complete.
- Keep a manual stop path available in the DAW and know where Bridge's All Stop / Panic commands are mapped.
