Setz Live & Bridge

Create reusable custom MIDI actions

Give a named MIDI cue its own note, color, and icon, then place it anywhere in a band's Set Flows.

Create and insert an action

  1. 1Open a setlist's Set Flow Editor and tap a plus line where the cue should run.
  2. 2Under Custom Actions, choose New.
  3. 3Enter a descriptive action name, choose a color, and choose the Lightning or Keyboard icon.
  4. 4Choose Create and Add. Setz assigns an unused MIDI note and adds the action at that position.
  5. 5Set Wait after action if the flow should pause briefly before continuing, then save the Set Flow.

Map and reuse it

  1. 1Send the band's cue library to Bridge again so the new action is available to the show computer.
  2. 2Use the receiving app's MIDI learn process to map the action's assigned note.
  3. 3In other Set Flows for the same band, tap a plus line and choose the saved action by name.
Note:Custom actions belong to the band. Names must be unique within that band, and creating one requires an unused MIDI note.

Delete carefully

Deleting a custom action removes its definition and removes that action from the band's saved Set Flow automations. Recheck affected shows and your DAW mapping afterward.
